When dental professionals want to read the latest dental news, find interesting case studies, or catch up on industry trends, they often go online to DrBicuspid.com. DrBiscupid.com recently paid a visit to the Alameda Pediatric Dentistry office, spotlighting “a day in the life” of the hard-working doctors, management, and staff.

Kathy Kincade, Editor in Chief of DrBicuspid.com, says the practice has the feel of one that is family-owned and operated, from the warm, kid-friendly environment to the people who work in the office, many of whom were born and raised in Alameda and were once patients there themselves.

“The practice caters to busy Alameda families in a multitude of ways,” Kincade writes.

Among its attributes, Kincade sites flexible and convenient scheduling; an innovative office design and lay-out, with two-table “family rooms” enabling siblings to be treated at the same time; and the wide-ranging expertise to treat everything from restorative and surgical procedures to oral sedation cases to special needs patients. Fun features like sunglasses for patients, bright images of flowers and sea creatures on the wall, and LCD TVs for watching videos above treatment tables earn brownie points as well.

“In one area, patients can sit on the floor and play an age-appropriate video game while waiting their turn; in another corner stands an old wooden playhouse filled with books and toys that has been part of the practice since it first opened,” Kincade notes.

The DrBicuspid.com article features quotes from Alameda Pediatric Dentistry’s Portia Weiman, RDH; Dr. Sharine Thenard; Nadira Sidi-Salah, RDA; and Betty Rodriguez, RDAEF. Here’s a link to the complete article:
